BMW Anti-Dazzle Glare-Free High Beam Coding: How to Enable It with OBDThink
Learn compatibility, requirements, safe OBDThink coding steps and rollback guidance for BMW Anti-Dazzle Glare-Free High Beam.
— Tekin Code
Anti-Dazzle uses the camera and compatible adaptive LED headlights to shape the high-beam pattern around other road users. Coding does not turn standard headlights into adaptive hardware.
Compatibility and Requirements
OBDThink is an independent BMW diagnostics and hidden-feature coding mobile app and is not affiliated with BMW AG. Available options vary by VIN, build date, control unit, software level and adapter.
FEATURE: ANTI_DAZZLE
SYSTEM: BDC/FEM and lighting control
VEHICLES: G20, G30, G01, G05, i4 and supported F-Series
REQUIREMENT: Compatible adaptive LED headlights, forward camera and supported regional software are required.
METHOD: Backup → Code → Ignition cycle → Verify
Target system: BDC/FEM and lighting control. Typical vehicle group: G20, G30, G01, G05, i4 and supported F-Series. Confirm exact support through the options exposed by the OBDThink vehicle scan and the installed hardware.
On a compatible vehicle and software level, coding can expose or enable a factory function that is present but disabled. The result still depends on hardware and regional configuration.
Confirm that the vehicle battery is healthy, keep the ignition on and do not interrupt the phone connection. Use a suitable battery support unit for longer coding sessions.
How to Code It with OBDThink
• 1. Connect a compatible OBD adapter, switch the ignition on and wait for OBDThink to identify the vehicle.
• 2. Open Coding, select the compatible control unit shown by the app and create a backup of the current coding.
• 3. Find the feature, read its description and the values offered for this vehicle; never force an unsupported value.
• 4. Select the required option and start coding. Do not switch off the ignition, remove the adapter or background the app.
• 5. After the success message, complete the requested ignition cycle and test the feature while the vehicle is stationary.
• 6. If a warning or unexpected behavior appears, restore the backup and scan the vehicle before making another change.
Checks After Coding
• The option should appear in the relevant menu or vehicle behavior, no control-unit warning should remain, and the setting should survive an ignition cycle.
• On a compatible vehicle and software level, coding can expose or enable a factory function that is present but disabled. The result still depends on hardware and regional configuration.

Rollback and Troubleshooting
If the feature does not appear, verify compatibility and required hardware first. Restart the ignition, scan the relevant module and restore the OBDThink backup if necessary.
NO RESULT → Check hardware and software compatibility
WARNING → Stop coding → Restore backup → Scan module
SUCCESS → Cycle ignition → Test while parked → Re-scan
Safety and Limitations
Coding cannot create missing hardware or licenses. Configure driving-related functions only while parked and only where permitted by local law.
