BMW E90 Cruise Control Set Speed Display: TEMPOMAT_SETZ_ANZ_DAUER

On the E90, having the cruise control set speed appear briefly in the cluster is enabled by changing TEMPOMAT_SETZ_ANZ_DAUER in the KOMBI module from wert_01 to wert_02. This line is not an on-off switch but a value that governs how long the display is shown. What exactly does this parameter change? The word dauer in the name means duration, and the parameter sets how long the chosen speed stays on screen. On cars delivered with wert_01 that duration is effectively zero, so the driver sees nothing at all. With wert_02, setting or adjusting the cruise speed makes the target appear for a few seconds before the display returns to normal.
